Tom is a self-proclaimed “old retired guy” who spends a lot of his free time giving back to his community. In addition to volunteering and taking care of their pets, Tom and his wife have planted several thousand trees over the last 20 years on property they converted into a prairie. Tom serves nutritious after-school meals to kids at Harshman Middle School and IPS 15. “The kids are very eager to help and very excited about the food – especially chicken noodle soup and the chicken pot pies,” he says.
