Volunteer Spotlight: Liz Paxton
Liz Paxton is a mother is a pediatric nurse and a mother of three. Liz worked for Riley for fifteen years and she is now the CEO at a local organization that supports adults with disabilities. When her career shifted, she began looking for ways to get involved in the community and found her way to The Patachou Foundation. How did you first hear about The Patachou Foundation?I have been wanting to volunteer for years and could never fit it into my schedule. So in January when I shifted my career I then had time to volunteer. What do you love most about volunteering with TPF?I love the fact that I can make a difference in the life of a child each time I am at school. Sometimes you build a relationship with a child and it continues each time you see them. These children need a strong support system in their lives and it is great to be that person. What’s your favorite memory or story from volunteering with TPF?Not necessarily a favorite story or memory but each day that I go I have such a great time and form new memories. School 54 is my primary and I love the kids there. Want to join Liz and our amazing team of volunteers? Apply today.
