About The Zine
"Too Many Cooks" is a collection of art, poetry, essays, and interviews exploring fresh perspectives on food justice, sustainability, and community empowerment. The zine encapsulates the diverse experiences and insights of these Food Fellows, who have spent their summer immersed in the world of hospitality, culinary arts, urban agriculture, and coffee. More than just a publication, "Too Many Cooks" represents a movement to empower youth to transform our food systems for a just and sustainable future.
The Food Fellowship
The Food Fellowship program, which forms the backbone of this project, offers high school students invaluable hands-on workforce development. Participants receive mentorship from industry experts, gain real-world training, earn industry-recognized credentials, and can obtain both high school and Ivy Tech college credits. The program provides ongoing college and career counseling, ensuring that students are well-prepared for life after high school.
