Patachou Foundation goes to Washington DC

Executive Director, Matthew Feltrop presenting to Food Access Legislative Study Panel. We recognize that the entire food picture for families, especially those facing hunger, is complex. In fact, poverty, available food options in a neighborhood, and the quality and nutritional value of food all have ripple effects on families, and especially on children. The work of The Patachou Foundation fundamentally cuts through all of these barriers: we take high-quality, fresh, and scratch-made meals directly to the kids that need them the most. That is also why executive director Matthew Feltrop will be representing Patachou Inc and The Patachou Foundation at the upcoming Plate of the Union/Place at the Table event in DC next week. This invitation-only event is put on by the Food Policy Action Education Fund, a non-profit that works to improve federal food policy. The Plate of the Union/Place at the Table event is a national, multi-platform media campaign to fight hunger.Matthew will be part of their contingency visiting Capitol Hill to urge lawmakers to protect critical federal food assistance programs. Matthew will be in the company of nationally recognized hunger advocates including the fund’s board member, Tom Colicchio, nutrition policy experts and hunger advocates all of whom will meet with members of Congress to ask them to protect the programs that most impact our nation’s most vulnerable citizens: the hungry and the poor.
