Our New Year's Resolution is a reality: The Patachou Foundation served its 16,000th meal in 2016 this week.
Some New Years Resolutions go out the door as soon as you make them. But we took our resolution to serve 16,000 wholesome meals in 2016 seriously.Thanks to volunteers and contributions from people just like you, The Patachou Foundation made this resolution a reality (over a month early)!The Patachou Foundation highlights in 2016:January – The Patachou Foundation began 2016 by serving after-school meals to 225 students at 4 different locations.June – 8,000 meals served in 2016– we reached the half-way mark.July – 215 additional students learned from farmers, chefs and volunteers about how to make fresh foods sourced from the microfarm at Public Greens.August – The Patachou Foundation started serving students at 8 separate school locations.November – We reached our New Year’s Resolution: serving over 16,000 meals in 2016.See what else we have been up to this year on our Instagram page.There is still a lot of work to be done to fight hunger in Indianapolis.
