The Kids Table is a series of volunteer fundraising dinners that benefit The Patachou Foundation. People from all over the city are gathering their friends and family around the dinner table for a cause – to end childhood hunger in Indianapolis.
We all have fond food memories of mom’s meatloaf or the time grandpa took you out for pancakes after a hard day at school. Even just a smell can transport you back in time, sitting around the dinner table with family. Unfortunately, not every child has these same experiences. One in five students The Patachou Foundation serves deals with the effects of hunger, poverty, and food insecurity. This means dinner may not always be on the table when these kids get home from school.
That’s why The Patachou Foundation prepares and serves nearly 1,000 wholesome, after-school meals to students in Indianapolis every week.
With your help, we can make an immediate impact on childhood hunger in Indianapolis. We’re inviting you to host your own fundraising dinner party. You choose the menu, the guests, and your party’s fundraising goal. For every $5 you raise at your own The Kids Table dinner party, one child receives a scratch-made meal. We’ll provide you a Host Kit with everything else you’ll need (including invitations, place cards, and even a custom Spotify playlist) to host a successful dinner party.
When should I host it and how many people should I invite?
Anyone can host their own The Kids Table fundraising dinner party any time of year and invite as many (or as few) guests as they like.
Will I have to meet a specific fundraising goal?
That’s up to you! Just like the menu, you’ll set a fundraising goal and share it with your guests.
I’m totally in! What do I need to do to host my own?
Just fill out this form to sign up and we’ll give you a Host Kit with everything you’ll need (except the food!) to host a successful fundraising dinner.
